Peter’s musical career started in the early 50's as a member of the Buff Estes Sextet, a well-known Ottawa Jazz group. After a stint at the infamous Gatineau Club, he began a long association with the Champ Champagne Orchestra, playing for acts like Billy Daniels, Mel Tormey, Patti Lewis, Rich Little, Tony Bennet, Dorothy Lamour, Hi-lo's, Four Aces and many others.
In the mid 60's, Peter joined The Courriers, folk singers performing concerts across North America. Peter was also a founding member of the National Press and Allied Workers Jazz Band which raised more than a Million Dollars in performing Benefit concerts for Symphony Orchestras in North America and Europe.
