A well-known jazz pianist on the Ottawa scene. He has freelanced in numerous dance and show bands and has specialized in accompanying many local vocalists such as Laurie Nelson, Dick Maloney, and Holly Larocque. He led the house trio at the National Arts Centre for several years, and worked with bands supporting many visiting stars including Dinah Shore, Delia Reese, Peter Appleyard, and the London Palladium Shows. Art has also performed in numerous venues in the US, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
